...over 7000 islands, abounding in natural resources, scattered between the Pacific and the South China Sea, peopled by the warm and friendly Filipinos. This is a country of contrasting spectacular scenery, from the mountains and volcanoes (10 still active) to the superb beaches, ideal for snorkelling and diving. To those who know it well, the Philippines is one of the travel world's best kept secrets.
Philippines
Manila Manila, the capital and gateway, is on the Northern island of Luzon which is where our tour is based. Here you will find an exciting blend of old Spanish heritage with a colourful variety of sights and sounds (especially sounds..!! )

Our ten day tour is flexible and open to all who wish to see and experience the real Asia with our knowledgeable local guides. Take part in organised water sports, visit historic sights or simply laze on beautiful beaches. All our land based travel will be on air-conditioned mini-vans with onboard complimentary bars.

Day 1

Arrive Manila. Overnight stay at the 5 star Heritage Hotel in Pasay only 15 mins from the Airport. (Transfers from the airport included.) In the evening enjoy the Manila Nightlife or relax in the Hotel.

Day 2

Depart Manila at 9am and fight our way north through the Manila traffic. We take the North Expressway to Mabalacat in Pampanga and from then on it's single lane roads to Urdaneta in Pangasinan Province. Stop there for lunch and swimming at the Lis Rainforest Resort. (1pm 3pm) After two hours we head north again towards La Union Province to the coastal town of Bauang, on the South China Sea, where we will spend two nights at the Bali Hai Resort.

Day 3

On this day there are three options. Day trip to Baguio City, the Summer Capital of the Philippines which is located in the Cordillera Mountain range just two hours from our Hotel. Another option is a bangka (outrigger boat) ride to Hundred Islands National Park which is a designated World Heritage Site located only 45 mins by boat from our resort. Option three is to spend a lazy day on the beach and in the resort. On the evening of day three we will have a beach party with Barbeque where you will get the chance to experience the local seafood.

Day 4

This will be one of the longest drives of the whole tour. We leave La Union at 8am and travel south west through Pangasinan province to Aluminos and then south down the rugged west coast, through the Province of Zambales to the town of Iba, where we will have a lunch stop. After lunch and the chance to do some shopping in the local market, we continue our journey south to Barrio Barretto in Subic Bay and the Blue Rock Resort where we will spend four nights. This evening will be spent at leisure in the resort with a discussion about what is available over the next few days.

Day 5, 6 and 7

Activities at Blue Rock include Scuba Diving for beginners or experienced divers. Visit to Ocean Adventure Whale Park where you can have Whale Encounter or dive with whales. Subic Safari Park. Jet Skiing. Para Sailing. Or simply relax on the Blue Rock Floating Bar.!! On the last evening we will have a sightseeing tour by boat followed by a Beach BBQ on the private beach.

Day 8

Depart Subic at around 8am and head south through Pampanga province towards Manila. Driving around Manila we travel south to Tagaytay, a beautiful resort town in the mountains, which, like Baguio City in the north, is much cooler than lowland Philippines. (1pm-3pm) We will have lunch in Dencio's Restaurant where you will sample excellent local dishes with a wonderful view of the famous Lake Taal and the still active Taal Volcano. From Tagaytay we head eastwards to Laguna and our resort in Pagsanjan, La Corona de Pagsanjan. It is from this resort that we will visit the World famous Pagsanjan Falls. Evening at leisure.

Day 9

At around 9am we climb aboard canoes which will take us up the Pagsanjan River to the Magdapio Falls. For the ride up to the falls, two banceros paddle each canoe for nearly two hours against the flow of the river, through an awesome gorge hemmed by towering cliffs and vegetation. At the top, the banceros will take you under the 10 m-high falls on a bamboo raft. From here, you let the water do the work. The trip downstream through the rapids is fast and exhilarating. The afternoon will be spent at leisure in the resort. In the evening we will have a group dinner in the resort to sample Filipino dishes cooked the Pagsanjan way.

Day 10

We leave Pagsanjan around 9am and head west, through the beautiful green countryside of Laguna to San Pablo City and the amazing Villa Escudero Plantation and Resort. Here we will spend the day swimming in the pools, paddling bamboo rafts, rides on Carabou drawn carts, lunch in the Labasin Waterfalls Restaurant, watch the award winning Philippine Experience Show, a history of the country in Song and Dance and visit the Escudero Private Museum. We leave the resort around 3pm for our return to the Heritage Hotel in Manila. Evening at leisure in Manila.
